This partnership will focus on delivering BI and Performance Management information directly to mobile devices and allowing executives and other mobile employees to access critical information from virtually any location, by means of their PDA, or other mobile device.

About Webalo
Webalo technology transforms enterprise applications and data to make them compatible with mobile devices. This eliminates the need for traditional custom programming, reducing the deployment of mobile applications from weeks or months to, in most cases, less than a day. The resulting "anywhere, any time, on-demand" availability of enterprise data on handheld devices turns such devices into viable alternatives to desktop, laptop, and palmtop computer hardware, and lets mobile employees work more productively - on the spot - to solve problems, answer questions, monitor operations, close sales, and make informed decisions.
The Webalo Mobile Dashboard Service - available both as a hosted service and as a behind-the-firewall appliance - lets non-IT business administrators securely specify the content of mobile-accessible information, and the companion Webalo Proxy Server configures it, in seconds, to conform to the native user interface of any BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian, or Java-enabled smartphone. Webalo's technology transforms the role of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) into a User Oriented Architecture, enabling Web services to communicate with users as effectively as they communicate with other system services.
Software vendors and system integrators such as Actuate, IBM, Nokia, and RIM are working with Webalo to enhance both their service oriented business applications and their mobile devices. Los Angeles based, Webalo is privately held and was founded in 2000. For more information please go to www.webalo.com.

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 2, 2008 ---- Solver, a Performance Management and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions provider, has announced plans to organize the company to better serve enterprise and mid-market clients. Solver has been a proven leader delivering innovative business driven solutions for over thirteen years, and this marks a strategic milestone that reflects company growth as well as the evolving and distinct needs of both Global 2000 and mid-market clients.
Solver recognizes that serving clients and partners in the mid-market arena is different from helping large Global 2000 companies satisfy their corporate planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytics requirements. "In order to continue providing game-changing performance management capabilities, we must understand and focus on what success looks like for our customers", says Scott Stein, Solver's Chief Operating Officer. "Large companies require solutions that address complexity and scale across the enterprise, while medium-size companies tend to demand fast implementations and packaged solutions to align with their economic expectations".
"Microsoft has brought performance management and business intelligence within reach of medium size companies and we are very excited to capitalize on this market opportunity" says Nils Rasmussen, President and Co-founder of Solver. "With our sales and consulting teams organized around customer size, we can focus on what is important to each client and provide a tailored solution." Solver's mid-market team is focused on delivering Microsoft PerformancePoint Server and related Microsoft BI add-ons like ProfitBase, Orange Peel's Business Intelligence Studio and other Microsoft-based value added BI solutions to the mid-market.
Solver's Enterprise division will provide comprehensive performance management solutions to Global 2000 organizations. "Solver has the appropriate mix of business and technology expertise required to work with CFOs and other business leaders to help transform organizations through powerful budgeting, planning, scorecarding and analytics capabilities" says Per Solli, CEO and co-founder of Solver. "We will continue to provide services and software add-ins like BI Studio to differentiate Microsoft PerformancePoint Server against the legacy BI vendors currently suffering from the uncertainty of recent acquisitions, market consolidation and other survival tactics as a result of Microsoft's entrance into enterprise performance management". Solli and Stein will be heading this enterprise group.
This new organization will strengthen Solver's partnering strategy with Microsoft by more closely aligning the Solver field organization to the Microsoft field organization which is also organized by customer segment. "Solver is a valued Microsoft Business Intelligence partner and we look forward to working more closely with them to bring pervasive business intelligence solutions to both enterprise and mid-market customers" said Bob Lokken, Senior Director of Business Intelligence.
The world of Business Intelligence has changed drastically and continues to evolve every year. With more than a decade worth of expertise in this industry, Solver is firmly positioned to provide clients and partners with deep knowledge and understanding of current technologies and to provide leading-edge Microsoft and ProfitBase based solutions that supports ever-changing client needs.
Solver is a Microsoft Gold Partner that specializes in delivering business reporting and business intelligence solutions to the market place. For more than a decade, Solver was the leading global partner for the Microsoft Enterprise Reporting solution, and now is taking the same, focused role for the successor product, Microsoft PerformancePoint Server. Since the pre-beta versions in 2005, they have been involved with this powerful business intelligence suite, supporting Microsoft with a team of consultants and subject matter experts at their headquarters in Redmond, Washington, assisting with internal implementations and providing their developers with feedback.
Solver is now positioned as a global leader in PerformancePoint Server implementations and related value added add-ons from Solver and from strategic partners such as ProfitBase. Solver works with the Microsoft's sales and services teams and with partners globally to provide best-in-class implementations of the Microsoft PerformancePoint Server business intelligence suite and related add-ons.
Strategic Partnership with ProfitBase
In addition to Microsoft, a key strategic partner for Solver is ProfitBase. Solver is keenly aware of the effort involved consolidating information from the many business systems that most clients have. "ProfitBase 2007 is an exciting new data warehousing technology that allows us to fill a major need that Dynamics partners and customers have been requesting," said Nils Rasmussen, co-founder of Solver. "The market wants an affordable and easy way to combine Microsoft Dynamics ERP data with data from other in-house business systems into one enterprise database, and then perform analysis and reporting."
"The hard work in any business intelligence project is getting the data consolidated into a nice, clean data warehouse. ProfitBase 2007 really makes this easy. We can then use front-end tools like Solver's XL Reporter or any of Microsoft tools including Microsoft PerformancePoint Server to give information workers nice dashboards and reports. The combination is a great solution," Rasmussen goes on to say.
"Solver has very strong ties to the Microsoft Dynamics partner network, has excellent business intelligence and market knowledge and we are both committed to Microsoft technology," said Larry LeBlanc, president of ProfitBase NA Inc. "Because Dynamics customers and partners are a major part of our strategy, Solver is the perfect partner for us. Our products fit nicely together."
Vertical Market Focus is Key
Solver understands that every market segment has its own set of problems and challenges. Understanding and becoming experts in all market segments is virtually impossible to do and do well. Therefore, Solver has an in-depth focus in four key vertical market segments: Retail, Public Sector, Media and Financial Services. "We have very strong domain knowledge in Public Sector, Media and Financial Services, and because ProfitBase has such a strong product offering around Retail we are now making that a focus for us this year. Additionally, ProfitBase helps us to package up our knowledge as templates and offer solutions that can be deployed very quickly. This means we can offer our customers a more competitive solution and at the same time reduce the risks that are inherent to custom developed solutions."
Tier is Strategic Partner in Public Sector
Solver has long been a proponent of partnering with other Microsoft partners that offer in-depth expertise in certain areas. A great example of this is the strategic alliance between Tier, a premier provider of Microsoft business solutions in public sector. Tier serves more than 50 cities and counties around the Unites States with their Microsoft-based financial solutions, and Solver brings top Business Intelligence (BI) expertise to the relationship, in addition to add-on solutions. ProfitBase is the cornerstone of the public sector BI offering as it provides an easy-to-maintain, central data warehouse that pulls data from the various data sources in the organization and provides it to the front-end report writers, budget tools and analysis solutions.
Big Push in BI Market
Microsoft is making a big push into the BI market with the launch of PerformancePointServer this fall. Solver and ProfitBase are in a very strong position to support that launch and bring added value to customer around the world. "We are very pleased with the Solver relationship. Solver has a very strong relationship with Microsoft, understands the value that ProfitBase 2007 brings and is helping us grow our presence in the market both in North America and in Europe. We look forward working with them in the future", notes Borre Tharaldsen, Managing Director of ProfitBase AS.

Los Angeles, CA - June 26, 2006 - Stemming from Microsoft's announcement of their new Business Intelligence solution, Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server, Solver, an award-winning Microsoft Partner specializing in budgeting, reporting and performance management solutions, announced its own plans to expand its business intelligence division into one of the largest in Microsoft's network of partners. Already a year before the release of Microsoft's new product, Solver has put its plans into action in anticipation of the growth in demand for BI Solutions -- increasing its BI staff, opening its first European office and strengthening its relationships within the Microsoft Partner community.
"Advanced Business Intelligence is the key to the success of a business," explains Per Solli, co-principal of Solver, Inc. "Solver has been providing this service for fifteen years already. Now with Microsoft's recent commitment and support in this field, we're expecting more interest in our services. It makes sense for us to prepare for the demand. Positioning us to be the leaders in BI solutions within the Microsoft community will be an added bonus."
Solver's growth strategy has already begun. Their European office, Solver Scandinavia, opened its doors in January 2006 to better service the European and global communities with budgeting, reporting and business intelligence services. Located in the city of Vejle in Denmark, Solver Scandinavia has been part of the Microsoft Redmond development team designing Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server, the next-generation BI solution. Solver's contributions to the development of Microsoft's new BI product has also included the participation of U.S.-based staff members, fueling Solver's growth of their dedicated Business Intelligence staff from 15 to more than 30. This initiative has helped Solver establish one of the largest staffs focused on BI solutions in the Microsoft Partner channel.
Already in high demand, Solver works with over 100 of the top Microsoft financial business solutions partners. They have assisted these partners in successfully integrating performance management and analytics tools in hundreds of mid-sized businesses and large corporations across North America. "As more and more companies realize the potential that a powerful business intelligence solution can have on their operations, Solver plans to be there to lend our expertise," states Nils Rasmussen, co-principal at Sales for Solver, Inc., "We see the increase in staff and the opening of our European office as the beginning stages of a growth spurt that will poise us to be the premier financial BI experts in the Microsoft channel."
Based on the powerful Microsoft Enterprise Reporting solution, Solver has developed a Position Control model for Federal, State & Local Government that collects data from an organization's back-end systems (e.g. Human Resource, Payroll, General Ledger and Budgeting) and provides managers with detailed reporting. The solution is based on feedback from mid-size and large organizations that need tighter control of employee-related items like: Open/Filled positions, actual versus budgeted salaries, salary increases, actual versus budgeted headcount, etc. The solution is available both for private and public sector.
"Working with Microsoft, clients and our partners, it became obvious that there was a strong demand for a Position Control solution that could help administrators and financial managers oversee their employee-related financial and statistical items in a data warehouse-based environment that merges and reconciles the employee data from clients' various systems" says Solver's VP of sales, Nils Rasmussen.

Solver Announces Record Interest in Microsoft Enterprise Reporting
Q1 and Q2, 2005 has been all-time record quarters in Solver's 10 year history. Driven by Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements as well as a strong interest in Business Intelligence tools from Microsoft, organizations are increasingly turning to Enterprise Reporting as the solution for the financial consolidations and budgeting needs. "Thanks to our excellent Microsoft Business Solutions partners across the country as well as successful joint sales with Microsoft's enterprise sales force, we are on track for a record year", says Solver's VP of sales, Nils Rasmussen.
Microsoft has now released Enterprise Reporting 7.5 Service Pack 3. This new version has new features, bug fixes and, among other things, supports Great Plains customers that have upgraded to Great Plains 8.0.
Solver will for the second year in a row be a Gold sponsor at Microsoft Convergence in Orlando, Florida. Due to increased interest (partially because of Sarbanes-Oxley and partially because of the many outdated ERP report writers being used today) in easy-to-use yet powerful financial reporting tools, XL Reporter and Microsoft Enterprise Reporting are expected to be of top interest to the expected 4,000 attendees. Improved financial reporting flexibility has clearly become priority for companies across the country. More than 400 people attended Solver's solutions forum in 2003, and more are expected in 2004.
To accommodate partners' and customers' need for software demonstrations of XL Reporter, the revolutionary Excel-based reporting tool from iLytix, Solver now offers general webinars every three weeks. For a webinar schedule go to: http://www.xlreporter.com/seminars/webinar/xlreporter_seminar.htm . The webinars consist of a 50 minute software demo followed by a 10 minute Q&A session.
