Drill Anywhere © is an exciting extension to Microsoft PerformancePoint Services (PPS). It enhances data access within and beyond your budget model and reports! Anyone who regularly reviews reports in PPS will save time and effort by now being able to retrieve the " story behind the numbers ", regardless of where the underlying data resides.
From any Excel form in PPS, you can now use Drill Anywhere © to drill down to transaction detail data in the underlying OLAP cube. You can also "drill through" into any other ODBC-compliant data warehouse or ERP database on your network. With the click of a mouse, users will be able to retrieve the actual transactions that comprise the summary data (e.g. from the General Ledger) they are viewing in the Excel form and then continue drilling into the related detail!
